AML518 Microplastics analysis in water Testing process:
- After sampling, the pretreatment process consists of 5 steps over one hour: filtration, oxidation digestion, sedimentation, vacuum filtration, and transfer, which are used to prepare droplet-shaped samples. Finally, the microplastic samples are placed on a glass slide.
- The sample slides are placed on the sample holder. After the machine is turned on, the robotic arm picks them up one by one from top to bottom. After the analysis is completed, the robotic arm retrieves them and puts them back in their original positions. The whole process is seamless.
- The sample rack can hold 10 to 20 glass slides. The robotic arm takes them out one by one for analysis, and then returns them after the analysis is completed. The analyzer operates fully automatically and can work continuously for 24 hours.
- Because the analyzer and the robotic arm are linked in an intelligent and digital way, there is no need for operators to stay day and night. After the test is completed, manual assistance may be required, or there may be direct audio and visual prompts.
- The analyzer microscope automatically focuses on the analyte, and the slide is divided into 12 grid images. Coordinates and serial numbers are assigned to each microplastic, and multiple parameters such as position, morphology, and particle size are provided.
- It adopts a dual-light-path design and is integrated into the microscope system to improve the Raman signal intensity, sensitivity and resolution, automatically detect components, and generate a classification report after comparing the spectra.
- Suspected samples can be retested. The original microplastic sample is removed, and after the analyzer’s modules automatically calibrate the original sample, it is re-scanned and analyzed. After comparing the spectra, a retest report is generated.
- The analyzer has a user-friendly interface, is easy to operate, and has no learning curve. It features one-button operation and fully automates sample injection, focusing, scanning, image stitching, detection, and report output.
